If your child requires medication at school it must be handed to the office labelled with name, class and dosage. A Prescribed Medication form will need to be completed by the parent. Students will report to office staff for medication to be given. Puffers for asthmatics can be kept by students provided they are not accessible to other students. Students who are sick should not be sent to school. If your child is sick at school you will be notified to collect your child. Please see Office staff before collecting your child from Sick Bay. The N.S.W. Health Department directs that students with certain infectious diseases be excluded from school for a period of time. Sometimes contacts are also excluded. The requirements of the N.S.W. Health Department can be viewed at the following site: http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/infect/diseases.html If your child is suffering from one of these diseases, your doctor will inform you of the period of absence and a Medical Certificate must be produced before the child is permitted to return to school. The N.S.W. Health Department arranges for a Nurse and a Dental Nurse to visit the school to provide free assessments for Kindergarten students. These assessments occur with parental permission.
