Introduction
The Student Representative Council program provides an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills, a strategy which recognises that teaching leadership behaviours is a crucial element in ultimately creating responsible citizens within our society.

Student Representative Council 2009
In 2009, eight students make up the Student Representative Council consisting of two school captains, two vice captains and four councillors.

School Captain William Shepley
School Captain Helena Mitrovic
Vice Captain Dylan Vieira
Vice Captain Kerry Kamilis
Councillor Kayla Lucas
Councillor Tilani Hardy
Councillor Bradley Lockhart
Councillor Ryan Finch

Members of the Student Representative Council have a variety of important responsibilities, in both leadership and fundraising and work collaboratively with staff to achieve their outcomes.

Leadership
Many of the responsibilities of the SRC are related to being strong leaders within our school. For example, this year, the SRC was responsible for running each morning assembly as well as the fortnightly whole school assembly. They learned skills in time management, public speaking and working collaboratively with teachers and students.

Fundraising
Fundraising contributes to the national and global community through charities such as Stewart House, Cure Cancer Australia, and UNICEF, and to our school through organised events such as the School Disco.
