Gardeners
Road Public School has computers in every classroom in addition
to a well equipped air-conditioned computer room with 26 computers, a
Smart board,
and a colour LaserJet printer. Each week all classes attend a one hour
computer lesson with a specialist computer teacher. All students
have their own area on the school Intranet to save their
published work.
The Department of
Education and Training monitors and controls access to
non-educational sites to protect the students from undesirable
material. Students, in conjunction with their parents, are
required to sign a
Student Internet and Email Acceptable Usage Agreement
before Internet

Popular Programs used by our students. An extensive range of educational software is available to integrate into classroom programs. These include: Kid Pix Delux 4, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft FrontPage, Microsoft Excel, Memories on TV, Gizmos & Gadgets Phonics Alive Typing 6, Ultimate Maths Invaders. Upgrade of software and computer facilities is ongoing. Students use digital cameras, data projectors for PowerPoint presentations and video cameras. |
